ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates seeking admission into KWASU Foundation Scheme must possess five (5) ordinary level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language. For candidates pursuing courses in Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences and Management Sciences, credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory.

MODE OF ADMISSION

Prospective candidates are expected to apply online via http://www.kwasu.edu.ng and the form will be processed accordingly. Successful candidates will have their names published online.

PAYMENT MODE

Pay the Application fee of five thousand naira (=N=5,000:00) only to Account Number 1012444536 in any Branch of Zenith Bank Plc.

CRITERIA FOR ADVANCEMENT TO 200 LEVEL

All candidates applying to Kwara State University through the KWASU Foundation Scheme must possess the relevant five credits in relevant subjects qualifying them for admission ordinarily through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The candidates admitted into these Foundation Programmes are to be fully resident in the University. The candidate at the end of the Scheme must obtain the DIRECT ENTRY FORMS from the JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATION BOARD (JAMB). The candidates at the end of the foundation programme must score a minimum of an average of 3.0 Cummulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or sixty percent (60%) in all the courses taken to advance to 200 Level of the Degree Programme. Students who are unable to meet this minimum CGPA or percentage are allowed to REPEAT the programme

STAFFING

To a large extent KWASU staff are specifically engaged to teach in Foundation Scheme. This is to expose the candidates to the same quality of teaching with the current 100 level undergraduate students with whom they would be classmates at 200 level when successful in the transition process.

ACCOMODATION

The Students will be fully accommodated on the University’s Hostels and are expected to conform to the rules and regulations guiding the day-to-day operation of the Hostels. It is compulsory that Students live in the hostel provided for them in order to ensure quality and assist them in achieving the lofty aim of being in the scheme
