Center for Ecological and Environmental Research, Management and Studies, (CEERMS).  Dr Sawyerr was recently appointed as Director of CEERMS by the University Board of Kwara State University, Malete, (www.kwasu.edu.ng). Until his appointment, Dr. Sawyerr was In-continent representative for Africa with Vector Engineering Inc, a California based Engineering firm of Auscenco Consortium consisting of Vector, Sandwell Inc, PSI, Auscenco and Ascentis.  In his capacity, Dr. Sawyerr oversee the development of new business initiatives, consulting and engineering service in areas of integrated waste management, waste-energy initiative, oil spill remediation and oil and gas resources.
As Director of CEERMS, Dr. Sawyerr’s international experience in consulting with international, regional and national organization and agencies will help define a resourceful direction for an emerging Center with a view to explore new frontiers. Ecological and Environmental issues are critical to sustainment of socio-economic growth in Africa. Kwara State University is pioneering a new initiative in this and other areas.
