The Kwara State University is to establish a world class College of Engineering in the next academic session.

Professor Na’ Allah said the goal of the college to be established like all other colleges at the university is to turn out students of Engineering that will be accepted both locally and globally.

Also speaking at the occasion, Professor Wiston Soboyejo from Princeton University, said the State University is collaborating with the Princeton University to establish a College of Engineering per excellence with a world class status.

The college according to him will deal with all forms of engineering, including Food, Agriculture and Biological engineering.

Since KWASU is focused on community development according to him, the College of Engineering will develop ideas that will connect the local community to the Institution.

Responding, the Kwara State Deputy Governor, Chief Joel Ogundeji who received the team on behalf of the State Governor applauded the initiative of KWASU by engaging the renowned scholars and collaborating with world class Institutions in its drive to set up a College of Engineering.

An initiative he noted, which is in tandem with the goal of the State Government for KWASU, which is making it a world class institution of learning.

The Deputy Governor says that the State Government is committed to making the State University a Legacy that will stand the test of time.

He noted with pleasure the quality of leadership of the institution, which has been moving at a pace that will see to the realization of the world class status aspirations of the founders of the institution.

The Vice – Chancellor of the Institution, Professor AbdulRasheed Na’ Allah stated this when he led a team of Engineering experts from Princeton University to
