ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for admission into the various options available in the College, Candidates must have the following qualifications:

UME ENTRY MODE (100 – LEVEL )

Ordinary level credit passes in five (5) WASCE/GCE/NECO subjects including English language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and one of Geography, Economice, foor and Nutrition and Physics, A pass in Physics may be accepted.

DIRECT ENTRY MODE (200 – LEVEL )

Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible for admission into 200 – Level:

1.       Candidates that have satisfied the above minimum O’level conditions for admission to degree option in the College, and in addition have passed at the General Certificate of Education Advanced ‘Level or its equivalent in Chemistry and in at least one science or social science subject from the following:  Biology, Mathematics, Agricultural science, Physics, economics, geography and Geology.

2.       Candidates that have satisfied the above minimum O’ level conditions for admission to degree option in the College, and in addition have obtained the National Diploma (ND) in relevant fields with minimum of lower credit

3.       Candidates that have satisfied the above minimum O’ Level conditions for admission to degree option in the College, and in addition have obtained the National Certificate of Education (NCE) with a minimum of lower credit

4.       Candidates that have satisfied the above minimum O’ level conditions for admission to degree option in the college, and in addition have obtained the Higher national Diploma (HND) in relevant fields with a minimum of lower credit. HND with a pass classification with a minimum of two years field experience may be considered to enter at the 200 – level

5.       A candidate is accepted on transfer into the College only at the 200 – Level if he has satisfied the UME entry requirement into the College and has not been withdrawn from the Univeristy

COURSE DURATION

The course duration for students in the College is 5 years (UME mode of entry), 4 years (Direct mode entry with HND)
