KWASU Biochemistry Students Excel At Inter University Quiz Competition

Two 2nd year students of the Biochemistry Department of Kwara State University got third position at the 31st Annual Conference of the Nigerian society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB) which took place at the University of Nigeria Nssuka.

The conference which took place from the 31st of October to 3rd of November had the head of the Biochemistry Mr. Kayode Adebisi and some students of the Biochemistry Department, College of Pure and Applied Sciences in attendance.

The team participated in a number of events at the conference, including the quiz competition, technical scientific session, plenary lectures and other events.  Two   students of Biochemistry, Olakunle Enoch Bolarin and David Jenyunwojo Achegbulu represented the Biochemistry in the quiz competition and came third out of 25 institutions in attendance.

Also at the event the General Secretary of KWASU’s Chapter of  the National Society of Biochemistry Student, Joseph Olaoluwa Inaolaji emerged as the Zonal Vice President of the North Central Region of the House of Enzyme meeting of biochemistry students, comprising all Chapter Presidents and General Secretaries of Biochemistry students across Nigeria consequently the Biochemistry  Department of KWASU has become the seat of the Zonal Headquarters for the North Central Region of the House of Enzymes meeting of the Association’s body in Nigeria.
