President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday, 17th of May, 2011 commissioned the Kwara State University, Malete.

Accompanied by the Kwara State Governor Dr. Bukola Saraki and Education Minister Dr. Rukkayah Rafai, Dr. Jonathan noted at the occasion that world over the aspiration of most nations is to provide qualitative world class education. He added that Nigeria does not have adequate Universities to cater for it teeming secondary school graduates.

The President Jonathan pointed out that if Nigeria continues to produce good institutions like KWASU, in the near future people will come to the country to study. He commended the founder, management and staff of KWASU and expressed hope that the school will be a great Institution soon, promising that the Federal Government will encourage the school.

Earlier the Kwara State Governor Dr. Bukola Saraki said the vision of KWASU is based on performance, innovation, excellence well as the provision of best quality education available in Nigeria. Dr. Saraki explained that KWASU is an institution of excellence committed to attaining world class status.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor AbdulRasheed Na’Allah said that KWASU is moving along its vision of providing world class education, and maintaining excellence in its programes. Earlier the Kwara State Education Commissioner, Bolaji Abdulahi said that Kwara has a desire to be Nigeria’s breeding centre of learning and innovation, a reason why the Kwara State University has attracted world class scholars from leading Institution world over.

The Kwara State University was established 2009 and it has six Colleges. View Gallery
