Internal and External Advertisement College of Information and Communication Technology 5th October, 2015

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions in the Department of Computer, Library and Information Science, College of Information and Communication Technology at the Kwara State University. Computer literacy is required for all positions.

    Vacant Positions:
    Professor        - (Library Science/ Library and Information Science)
    Associate Professor    - (Library Science/ Library and Information Science)        
    Senior Lecturer - (Information Science/ Library and Information Science)        
    Lecturer I - (Archival and Record Management,Publishing and the Book Trade and Media Technology)
    Lecturer II - (Archival and Record Management, Publishing and the Book Trade and Media Technology)

(i)    Professor     (CONUASS 07)
    Candidates must possess a Ph.D in Librarianship or Information Science with a minimum of twelve (12) years for post-doctoral cognate teaching, research and administrative experience plus at least twenty- one  (21) significant peer reviewed scholarly publications in reputable National and International outlets.
    Candidates must possess ability to develop and execute research project and must also show evidence of significant research direction/supervision at the postgraduate, especially doctoral level.
(ii)    Associate-Professor (CONUASS 06)
    Candidates must possess a Ph.D Degree inLibrarianship or Information Science with a minimum of eight (8) years cognate teaching, research and administrative experience plus at least seventeen (17) significant scholarly publications in reputable national and international outlets.
    Candidates must possess ability to develop and execute research project and must also show evidence of significant research direction/supervision at the postgraduate, especially doctoral level.
(iii)    Senior Lecturer    (CONUASS O5)        
    Candidates must possess a Ph.D. Degree in the relevant field with a minimum of six (6) years cognate teaching experiences plus at least twelve (12) significant scholarly publications in national and international outlets.
    Candidates must possess ability to develop and execute research project and must show an evidence of research direction or supervision at the postgraduate, especially Masters Level.
(iv)    Lecturer I    (CONUASS 04)
    Candidates must possess a University degree with at least Second Class (Honours) Upper Division. Candidates with Ph. D Degree must have spent a minimum of three (3) years on previous grade and must have a minimum of four (4) scholarly publications.
    Candidates without Ph.D Degree must have spent a minimum of five (5) years on previous grade and a minimum of six (6) publications in addition to evidence of continuous research.
(iv)    Lecturer II        (CONUASS 03)
    Candidates must possess a University degree with a minimum of Second Class (Honours) Upper Division and show ability to develop and execute research project.
    Candidates with Ph.D Degree must have a minimum of three (3) scholarly publications from reputable publishers.
