KWASU REMAINS A CULTISM FREE UNIVERSITY

The Vice-Chancellor of the Kwara State University, Professor AbdulRasheed Na’Allah says the institution has zero tolerant policy for cultism.  To this end, according to him anybody who is a cultist or wants to bring cultism to KWASUis placed on notice, adding that KWASU must and will remain a cultism free University.

Professor Na’Allah was speaking at the KWASU College of Engineering Foundation Laying Ceremony on the 7th of February, 2012.  He noted that the Kwara State Governor had expressed concern on the possible existence of cultism in KWASU and gave specific directives and mobilization for immediate action on the Institution’s zero - tolerance policy.

The University don used the forum to explain the KWASU Education Initiative which is built around a pragmatic, experienced-based and innovative approach to education on effort to refresh and replace narrower approaches which have sometimes mis-served the country.  He lamented that education has in the past, been a matter of indoctrination advancing the demands of dogma instead of the disciples of reason.

Today’s educational needs he opined is an approach which is the polar opposite of indoctrination-one that nurtures the spirit of anticipation and agility, adaptability and adventure.  KWASU Engineering he says is leading the way in this direction.

KWASU Engineering, the University don noted will provide  exceptional education for exceptional students, who will provide a major proportion of tomorrow’s leaders - or teachers.  These products are expected to serve as hubs or energy and influence for the entire educational enterprise.
