  KWASU RECIEVES GRANT FROM HARVARD UNIVERSITY

Harvard University W. E. B Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research has awarded a grant of eleven thousand US-Dollars to the Kwara State University (KWASU). The grant is being used to ship to Nigeria, a huge collection of books donated to KWASU by Professor Abiola Irele, currently a Professor at Harvard University.

Professor Irele, a foremost scholar of French and African Literary Studies, and former editor of ‘Research in African Literatures’ has been recruited by the Kwara State University as the pioneer Provost for the College of Arts, Humanities Management & Social Sciences.

Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., the Alphose Fletcher University Professor at Harvard University, is the director of W. E. B Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research at Harvard University.
