CENTER FOR ECOLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH, MANAGEMENT AND STUDIES TO DEBUT AT KWARA STATE UNIVERSITY MALETE.

The Kwara State University will soon present formally its centre for ecological and environmental research management and studies to members of the public, students and staff of the Kwara State University.

The centre according to its Director, Dr. Henry Sawyer is for ecological and environmental research management and studies which will examine studies and conduct investigations on areas related to ecological and environmental matters.

It will further initiate an outreach programme that will bring the attention of students and members of the public to events of global concern in relation to ecological and environmental issues.

Promotion of the centres website, the Director explained, will bring to the attention of the public and university community functions and resources available at the centre.

Dr. Sawyer pointed out that apart from being a resource centre for students, the centre will serve as an avenue where the public can obtain up to date information on ecological and environmental needs of the public.

Apart from this, it will also conduct seminars and talks for selected senior and junior secondary schools in the state as well as share videos on ecological and environmental issues.

The University Don said that there will be tours to places of interest and international collaboration between the centre and countries like Europe, Asia, America, North America and many other countries.

The Director of the centre, Dr. Henry Sawyer, was before his appointment at Vector Engineering Incorporation, United States of America.
